We just went withoutWhen I received this side table, I was surprised at how easy the directions were on how to put it together. The assembly took a lot of little pieces, but the instructions were very spot on. I was also surprised at how sturdy of a product it was once put together.The only two complaints I have on this product are that it did not come with a piece of wood to secure to the back of the side table and the knobs for the drawers are plastic. I fixed this by taking the sturdy cardboard from the box it came in and nailing a piece of it to the back so the drawers wouldn't fall of the back of the table. I also went to walmart and purchased cheap metal knobs to attach to the piece instead of the plastic ones it came with.The mid-modern look it gives off is very on trend, and I am pleased with how it goes with the other pieces in my room. Overall, you can't beat how cute of a statement piece it is for $44.It is a cute side table or nightstand. Perfect size and height for my bed. It is pretty easy to assemble, no special tool required. I just have few things I don't like about it.1. It smelled weird when I open the box. Good thing is that it doesn't smell like that anymore after I wiped it down.2. It has tears and lifting that I noticed when I was assembling it. Good thing those are the sides that goes inside, so you can't see it.3. I'm replacing the knobs, because just like others have said, it is cheaply made. Also, it was scratched because they put it in a bag with all of the screws it came with.4. It's actually loud when I open the drawers, because of the way is was rubbing against the sides and bottom.Overall, I gave it 3-stars.Piece of trash. Totally misleading. Only the legs are made out of real wood. Everything else is made out of particleboard. I replaced the knobs because they’re made out of cheap plastic. The picture in my review is of these nightstands out by a pile of trash, because that’s where they belong. Within one week all of the joints began to loosen, and the drawers began to fall apart. Although they look cute in the picture, utilize the self-control to pay a little bit more at a trustworthy source in order to actually receive the quality that they promise. Customer service was absolutely horrible, it’s a third-party seller not Amazon, so getting my money back was not an option. I know it seems like I’m just an annoying person leaving a horrible review, but you need to know I’m actually very nice and I had the highest hopes for these nightstands. I hope you have a great day, do not buy this product. The only reason why I gave this review two stars it’s because I used the nightstand for a few months because I am stubborn and wanted to justify the amount of money I had thrown down the drain.The “drawers”, if you can even call them that, were such a pain to put together that I just ended up using glue to glue them together and made due with that, which was a huge pain, too. It’s odd that the drawers aren’t on a track or anything similar so you have to be super careful when pulling them out. I also switched out the knobs to something more my taste and will make these side tables work for now.The two pieces were shipped separately and one was not shipped until after I had checked in to see where it was (the other had come a week prior). The second table arrived missing pieces and the company doesn’t have any to replace the parts needed - they did offer me $10 back to go buy something to replace it however, it doesn’t account for the inconvenience.They’re not great quality, but they look great and do the job of lightening the place up, they don’t wobble, and we’re easy to put together.Cute, serve our purpose.I ended up not using it because it didn't give me the look I was going for and I don't want to go through the hassle of returning it so now I'm trying to sell it. I'll be lucky if I get $50. The bottom drawer is really tight. There is NO back to this drawer so if you push hard enough they come right out the back. There are wooden dowels they give you to prevent this from happening but they put the holes in the wrong spots so when you push the drawers in to the dowels they're both still hanging open by and inch. It looks ridiculous. Some of the pieces fit cock-eyed. The knobs are literal trash. You'll want to get different ones immediately. It's just not a quality item. It serves its purpose, it's cute but not anything you'll keep forever. Also, check your measurements, it's pretty short. Would I recommend it to anyone?
