I collect books, stories and plays that are the original source material for films. After seeing the 1958 film "Separate Tables" again recently, and rediscovering playwright Terence Rattigan, I went looking for his play, which was adapted for the film. This edition was published just before the film was released, so there are photos of the cast including Burt Lancaster, Wendy Hiller, David Niven, Rita Hayworth etc. I did not know until the book arrived that the film is based on TWO Rattigan plays, both in this edition. I couldn't be happier with my experience with this emarks13.
