Coming from a non-coffee-drinker who didn't even realize he needed a coffee table in his new apartment (because he forgot they existed) until his friend told him it would tie the space together nicely, and coming from someone who was super reluctant at the idea of spending the amount of money that a nice coffee table costs, I saw this one and liked it. And I debated. But I have hanging shelves in my tiny studio to maximize my vertical space's utility. So I was like "okay fine I guess this matches." And then I opened the box, assembled it in about 48 seconds flat, and absolutely fell in LOVE with it. As you can see from my photo, I am not a man who owns coffee table books or anything else normal that would occupy the dimensions of the sleek hanging shelf space as intended by the manufacturer.
