We are an independent, family owned Miami-based specialty coffee company founded by experienced professionals with deep ties to coffee producing countries. We are passionate about finding, tasting (cupping) and selecting specialty coffees from around the world (Americas, Africa, SE Asia), which we carefully and artisanally roast (to order) to highlight each coffee’s unique attributes and deliver a superb and consistent experience in each cup. We believe in a “high tide lifts all boats” philosophy. We feel that the best way to make positive contributions across the complex coffee world is by playing a key role in creating a virtuous cycle: incentivizing and rewarding the best quality at coffee’s origin, giving it the respect it deserves by preparing it with care, and providing a fantastic offering to delight our customers and their clients—allowing us to repeat the cycle. We purchase only the highest quality green coffee, and leverage our deep relationships with players across the supply chain in different origins. We have particularly strong ties to Guatemala, the rest of Central America and Peru. We work directly with several producers in different regions of Guatemala (Huehuetenango: Providencia, El Injerto, Atitlan: La Voz Cooperative, Santa Rosa: Finca Teanzul, and with Cafe Femenino CECANOR Coop in Lambayeque Peru). We often times work with single varietal lots (Bourbon, Typica, Caturra, Pacamara, Gesha, Mocca, Maragogype) and different processing methods (washed, natural / dry process, honey, pulped natural, anaerobic, lactic fermentations). Our coffees are carefully roasted in small batches at our organic certified facility on machines that use innovative technology, consume significantly less energy and produce less CO2 emissions than traditional roasting machines.
